A WORD FROM THE LORD THROUGH HIS SERVANT

A WORD FROM THE LORD FROM HIS SERVANT
Karen Gray

"I FELT THE LORD PROMPT ME
TO TELL YOU TO SING THIS SONG,
'THE LAST MILE OF THE WAY.'
IT WILL HELP US TO GO ON
AND BELIEVE
THE LORD HAS THE LAST WORD
AND HIS WORD IS TRUE AND AMEN.
SO, WE STAND WITH YOU;
AS IT IS HIS PERFECT TIMING.
LOVE YA,
KAREN,
SING THE SONG!"

The Last Mile of the Way

"If I walk in the pathway of duty,
If I work till the close of the day,
I shall see the great King in His beauty,
When I’ve gone the last mile of the way.
  • Refrain:
When I’ve gone the last mile of the way,
    I will rest at the close of the day;
And I know there are joys that await me,
When I’ve gone the last mile of the way.
If for Christ I proclaim the glad story,
If I seek for His sheep gone astray,
I am sure He will show me His glory,
When I’ve gone the last mile of the way.

Here the dearest of ties we must sever,
Tears of sorrow are seen every day;
But no sickness, no sighing forever,
When I’ve gone the last mile of the way.

And if here I have earnestly striven,
And have tried all His will to obey,
’Twill enhance all the rapture of heaven,
When I’ve gone the last mile of the way."
“I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee” Heb. 13:5

*Personal Note: Karen is my 2nd mother, who married my father 26 years ago. They both were widowed; and in the ministry. She has been a loving grandmother to our three children.
The Last Mile of the Way
"Following verse one, Johnson identifies Christian service that God will reward: “If for Christ I proclaim the glad story, If I seek for His sheep gone astray,” and later, “And if here I have earnestly striven, And have tried all His will to obey.”

SNOWDEN'S WRAPPING UP 2017 YEAR END JOURNEY TOWARDS AFRICA

I am grappling on how in the world to
wrap 2017 all in ONE blog post!

Where our Heavenly Father has taken us from the beginning of this 'New Pilgrimage' to now; is absolutely AMAZING!

This journey truthfully can go back to the GREAT COMMISSION with Jesus pouring His Heart out not only to His Disciples, but to the CHURCH OF JESUS for SOULS all over the world:

"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." Mk.16:15-16

For me; I was called into the mission field at 12 years old (40 years ago); my husband (Brad) was 24 years old. The Lord led us to pastor for over 25 years. As we ministered, we shared the Lord's heart for missions for hearts in all the world.

The last church we pastored as many know, is when Brad became seriously ill. Oh the twists and turns during those 6 years of hardship. Yet, in the midst - we saw things in the light of eternity. Thus, all we could do was PRAISE AND TRUST our Great King!
“The very things he said in his pain; will be known as the greatest victory he has known.”
{Speaking of David in Psalms} C. Conlon
This truly resonates with my soul! When we still sing His Praise, even in the face of HARD times; victorious seeds have not only been planted but have taken root!

SO HERE WE ARE AT CHRISTMAS SEASON
An opportunity to enjoy family and friends again and to give little sweet gifts to neighbors and loved ones! Isn't it so nice? 😊
The Lord showed me something regarding the CHRISTMAS STORY. He correlated it where our family is right now in our lives.
THE CLOSED DOORS TO THE KING!

"and she gave birth to her Son, her firstborn; and she wrapped Him in [swaddling] cloths and laid Him in a manger, because there was no [private] room for them in the inn." Lu 2:7

I don't know about you;  but I 'like me' a nice, comfortable hotel when I am travelling and needing rest desperately! If I had to sleep in a cold, dark, stinking, bug-ridden barn (cave) I would not be a happy camper- whatsoever (let alone; delivering a precious little, innocent baby)! Yet, there was not even an effort made to help this lady who needed to have her baby in a more comfortable, clean environment.

As missionaries; we knock (call, write letters, emails and message) many churches, and individuals; but there is 'no-room'. It's a bit of a lonely feeling, bewilderment happens too! After all; this is GOD'S BECKON CALL to 'GO' to Africa. It wasn't on our radar (remember Brad was dying).

Yet, the baby Jesus was born; all safe and sound. Mary rested, the family was provided for and the miracle of our Savior's Birth was accomplished. PRAISE THE LORD!

As we walk these last few weeks; knocking (so to speak) for many to 'CONNECT' with us in support SENDING us to Mozambique -
WE KNOW GOD'S CALL / HIS WILL; SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED!
We don't know how; it will come from places we never could imagine (as they already have) and it will not only increase our faith; but bring our God great GLORY! That is what life is all about anyways!
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an
expected end." Jer. 29:11
EXPECTED END!!!!

HE FINISHES WHAT HE STARTS!
"I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return]." Phil 1:6
