FUN AFRICAN FABRICS

So many in America  compliment the vibrant colors of our outfits that are gifted graciously to us when we are in Africa. Intricately designed, complimentary colors and uniquely African, the African fabric is some of the best quality found. When one wears clothing made from this fabric, they wear it with pride. I will attempt to share some of the designs here, and where they mostly come from. There are hundreds more patterns and designs across the continent. But, for now... it's fun to learn and understand!

One thing we have discovered the name of the fabric is different, for example:

“Fabric from Ghana is well known around the world for its durability's like Kente and Batakari can last for 300 years because they are woven with great care and devotion that doesn't let them tore up so easily.”
Pagne: This word is  derived from French, generally refers to any cloth used for everyday wear in the DRC.
Mozambique- call there fabric capulana
Take a quick scroll down and read on the different fabrics I have learned about and own. And another fact, you can find African fabrics on Amazon! Have fun and learn!

God Answered Prayer

Prayer Update
Thank you for praying for Brad in regard to his lungs. His breathing is much better, and he is feeling stronger. The doctor has released Brad to travel! Glory to God!

We plan to fly to Rwanda in the middle of August. We will be working with our coordinators, church planting trainers, and our church planters. We will be training, encouraging, and praying for our leaders. We also will be bringing them microSD cards that have the Jesus film, Bible stories, and more that will be in their mother tongue. In addition, we will be constructing a training seminar for a couple of days with several church planters, trainers, and more. Our personal favorite part of our job, is visiting the churches that have been planted, and then sharing God’s Word with the church body + village people.

Thank you for praying for this ministry as we serve the Great Lakes of Africa (DR Congo, Rwanda, Burundi & Angola). God is blessing in many ways.

For example, a peace treaty was signed between the DRC & Rwanda. Pray that the independent militant groups will stop the fighting within the Congo; this is the major issue we are facing there.
It is because of the war why we have not been able to enter the Congo.
We also ask if you will continue to pray for our support, especially our monthly support?
We would like to be able to make more trips to Africa, and support is one area that will help us do just that.
We are open to speaking at churches, small groups, and ministries that have a heart for missions. Simply contact us, and we can try to work out a schedule so we can come visit with you.
If you can help the Congo people who are suffering from being displaced as they suffer from hunger & homelessness plus, in addition, those that are suffering persecution, you can follow this link here or mail your contributions to this address.

Your love, prayers, and support have been such a great help and strength so that we can continue to do what God has called us to do.

Below photos:

1- Please do not share these photos on any social media & do not forward to emails

2- Starting on the bottom; we see our coordinator and his wife travelling to a remote village where a church has been started, and even more a training center (with 15 church planters).

3- On this river a torrent of wind and waves caused the canoe (powered by motor) to stop working. But, God protected them as they were arrived safely, as they had a successful training and service.

4- Islam is prevalent here. Our people face great danger and persecution.
