POURED OUT AS A DRINK OFFERING

The month of July ('17) we were blessed to spend 3 weeks at One Mission Society headquarters participating in our CROSS Training.  We were enamored with droves of subjects that quite possibly could have taken the entire summer to learn.
Cross Cultural training; spiritually, socially, politically, and so on were taught. We were instructed on the security factors and how to be prepared for possible persecution and possible death. REAL STUFF!

"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil for You are with me..." Ps. 23:4

The COST was feeling heavier...but there was something that far out-weighed it all:
THE NEED FOR SOULS TO KNOW JESUS!
It is the thrust we feel as we continue walking this path towards Mozambique. How can we not go? First, because our Loving Father asked us and secondly, the Love we have to give to all the boys, girls, men and woman there!

To make DISCIPLIES...

God authorized and commanded me to commission you: Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life,..." Matt. 28:19

To disciple future Pastors, plus  teach ones already who are pastoring a church. We also will help strengthen, encourage and affirm our missionaries as well.

Most of Mozambique is children, there is also a great number of the millennial age as well. We know God is taking us to them to be a spiritual mom and dad. As well as a mentor, teacher and friend.

All of this is our FOCUS! We presently are at the last mile stage. That means a lot of packing, planning, travelling and goodbyes. Our days are FULL!

Today, I sat in my chair as I was drinking my tea. I just had put down a book I was reading on prayer. I stared outside dazing at the blue sky. I found myself whispering the Name of Jesus; after a few minutes my heart was lifted. I felt so connected with my Jesus; I felt His amazing peace and strength. The nerves were settled down and my vision was plain. JESUS...He is my vision - and because of that; we all are going forth to take Him to the unloved, the poor, the hurting, the wore down and tired!

Revelation 4:2 "At once I was in the Spirit, and behold, a throne stood in heaven, with one seated on the throne."

After a camp meeting missions service this weekend, we will be driving across the country to California. We are bringing our son's car; who is in the Navy, to him. We are praying his car runs smoothly. As we are there we will be ministering at a church as well and visiting family and friends.

Then we will see our son for a couple days (we are hoping-praying for 'leave-time'). I will hug his neck, kiss him on the cheek, pray with him and walk away. One of the hardest things in my life I will do! I ask for you to pray for us all!
(1) That we get to see him.
(2) That God will give our entire family His strength and peace when we say goodbye.
(3) That God will keep my son safe; especially if war does break out.

Meanwhile, we go to WAR in Prayer! And we put on God's Armor to work and live for Him!
We go with humility, full of love and anticipation to be:

Poured Out To The Mozambican People & Our Missionaries!
"Even if I am to be poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrificial offering of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all." Phil 2:7

Thank you all for your prayers, and encouragement! Please don't stop! We will always need it! And I promise; we pray for you as well!

"WE WILL ABANDON IT ALL - 'FOR-THE-SAKE-OF-THE-CALL'!"

"WE WILL ABANDON IT ALL - 'FOR-THE-SAKE-OF-THE-CALL'!"

I have been singing this song by Steven Curtis Chapman today. Admittedly, I am 'FEELING' this LEAVING of things familiar, comfortable and even comforting.

Yet, HIS CALL where my attentive heart to His Loving Voice, simply CANNOT ignore (by continuing on living a 'normal' life that is built around me) -- MUST YIELD TO HIS HEARTS CALL TO OUR FAMILY; and that it shall.

The first verse goes:

"We will abandon it all for the sake of the call

No other reason at all but the sake of the call
Wholly devoted to live and to die for the sake of the call."

CHECK OUT THE DEFINITION OF 'ABANDON':
-to leave completely and finally; forsake utterly;
-to give up the control of  (GOOD ONE)
- give (oneself) over to natural impulses, -- HARD!!!

I was called into the 'mission-field' when I was 12 years old; (40 years ago). All my young life; I sang one mission song after the other with a complete heart of passion and surrender.
I did live a surrendered life as we took a path the Lord paved for us to trod; and live. To difficult places and ministries that many would run from. Frankly, at times I truly desired to myself.
During those years, I also raised my children; with a full total focus on raising them as a man and women of God.
At Inhambane where one of our missionaries' are working diligently and a couple churches are.

Presently; we are on a total different path. One that is a bit unfamiliar; but not lonely. One that my God already paved, and that my Jesus walks with me (us) along the way.

Leaving the comforts of home, food, my children (whom are adults), and my elderly parents; I admit is pretty hard. YET; I will:
'ABANDON IT ALL
FOR THE SAKE OF THE CALL!'

Many do not understand, it is hard to wrap our minds around the idea of leaving a career, family and home to live in a place that does not acquire 'these-things'.
Yet, our lives when:
*Spirit Led
*Surrendered to God's Will & Plan
*ONE in Him; in every way
(our lives) ARE NOT WITHOUT WHAT WE NEED AND EVEN DESIRE!
HE FILLS OUR LIVES WITH
'THESE THINGS' in Matthew 6:33 -
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
HE WILL AS WE WALK THIS WAY.... NOT ABANDON US.
HE WILL FILL US WITH ALL STRENGTH, JOY AND PEACE!
HE WILL FULFILL OUR HEARTS DESIRE, AS THEY ARE HIS!

Jesus' heart was FULL with this objective; for ALL His disciples (those who do choose to follow Him).
Read:
Luke 14:25-27
25 "Now large crowds were going along with Jesus; and He turned and said to them, 26 “If anyone comes to Me, and does not [a]hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life [in the sense of indifference to or relative disregard for them in comparison with his attitude toward God]—he cannot be My disciple. 27 Whoever does not carry his own cross [expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and follow after Me [believing in Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me (you cannot be my disciple)."

"May we seek to be disciples indeed, and be careful not to grow slack in our profession, or afraid of the cross; that we may be the good salt of the earth, to season those around us with the savor of Christ."  ~Matthew Henry (commentary)

HATE here just means;  'If any man doth love his father, wife, children, brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life, more than me.'

Other than my husband and children; my 86 (87) year old father is dearest to me as far as relationships go. Leaving him at this age is a HUGE challenge. We both know, for he is a minister himself that ...
"....I must be about My Father’s business?” (Lu.2:49)

FATHER'S BUSINESS FOR US IS:
-To LOVE...simply LOVE with God's unchanging, powerful LOVE!
-To affirm those pastors, ministers, missionaries & all servants in their gifts and call upon their lives.
-To pray for the sick, tell the lost about HOPE in Christ, to teach God's Word to all.
-To build the Kingdom of God in Mozambique.
{By building new churches in remote areas.}

PRAY FOR US
-For God to steady our hearts as He indeed is preparing all of us emotionally, mentally and physically for this BIG change.
-For our family and friends for God to FILL them up with so much of Him. That others will reach out to them in relationships, to help comfort them from our absence.
-We need more support to come in on a monthly basis. God is moving me to pray for 'LIKE-MINDED' hearts as this blog states to join with us in this manner.
WE PRAY FOR YOU DAILY TOO!
We don't know who everyone is; but our 'All-Knowing' God sure does and He prays through us. If you have a need be sure to contact us here.

"We will abandon it all for the sake of the call
No other reason at all but the sake of the call
Wholly devoted to live and to die for the sake of the call
Nobody stood and applauded them
So they knew from the start
This road would not lead to fame
All they really knew for sure
Was Jesus had called to them
He said "come follow Me" and they came
With reckless abandon, they came
Empty nets lying there at the water's edge
Told a story that few could believe
And none could explain
How some crazy fisherman agreed to go where Jesus went
With no thought to what they would gain
For Jesus had called them by name
And they answered
We will abandon it all for the sake of the call
No other reason at all but the sake of the call
Wholly devoted to live and to die for the sake of the call
The sake of the call
Drawn like the rivers are drawn to the sea
There's no turning back, for the water cannot help but flow
Once we hear the Savior's call, we'll follow wherever He leads
Because of the love He has shown
And because He has called us to go
We will answer
We will abandon it all for the sake of the call
No other reason at all but the sake of the call
Wholly devoted to live and to die
Not for the sake of a creed or a cause
Not for a dream or a promise
Simply because it is Jesus who called
And if we believe we'll obey
We will abandon it all for the sake of the call
No other reason at all but the sake of the call
We will abandon it all for the sake of the call
No other reason at all but the sake of the call
Wholly devoted to live and to die for the sake of the call
For the sake of the call
We will abandon it all"
