The Final Months Of Raising Up Our Team

in Imperial Beach, CA

Author Brenda Wolfe of Intentional Living encouraged us with these words recently:
"May you be refreshed continually as your family walks through these final months of raising up your team. I believe the Lord has impeccable timing with your best in mind - since He has intimate knowledge of the "lay of the land."

feel so connected with a TRUE TEAM THAT IS GOING WITH US AS ONE IN YOU!
I thank God for this journey; wow - the people and places He has faithfully taken us has all been HEAVENLY! The new relationships, partnership, and the old relationships rekindled have been a true foundation for the ministry God has orchestrated within Missionaries to Mozambique.
The Lord led me to the revelation of how Philip was whisked away; "...the Spirit of the Lord carried Philip away, ..." I shared in my recent newsletter that I haven't personally witnessed this happen.
I had jokingly commented once that it would be cool to just be whisked over to Africa. But, God stopped me RIGHT THERE!
Yes, I kinda got in a bit of trouble. [smile]
This is what the Lord said;

"I call!
The Body of Christ's Sends!"
The Body; MY BROTHERS & SISTERS are the ones who send missionaries out to the places God has opened the door to go!
Some are called, others are to send...we all are to pray and share about Jesus where God has us!
RAISING UP OUR TEAM - Every single individual, church, and business is a strong part of our team. Your love, encouragement, prayers and the sacrifice of supporting us monthly is truly vital for the GOSPEL TO BE SPREAD in Mozambique.
-WHO IS ON OUR TEAM?
Widows, retired pastors, pastors, business owners, former Body of Believers we once pastored, doctors, nurses, lawyers, insurance agents, one's in their 80's, college students, children, single parents, oh goodness...
I could go on and on!!!
THIS IS HUMBLING...IT IS HONORING - IT EMPOWERS US TO DO OUR BEST BECAUSE OF THE TEAM FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD!
The reality now, that we are down to the last bit of time here in the United States is hitting hard.
Saying good bye to our Navy Son...was difficult.
To long time friends and relatives; soon to our 87 yr. old parents.
YET....the need is great --- God's Love is All Powerful; we will be pouring His Love to the Mozambicans.
We will be encouraging, teaching, plus affirming the amazing Pastors & Missionaries there!
I literally can see them waving their hands up to God for help!
The time is coming....SOON --- we must GO AND DO THIS WORK!
We just need 30 more 1% Monthly Donors! That's it! Just 30!
What is 1%? Just $80.00 a month. Think of all the souls who will come to Jesus simply because of this [OMS Snowden's Support -click]

I truly have seen that the journey has been vital to not just our life; but the lives of hundreds of others.
- We have witnessed salvations, healings, even praying for ladies to have babies (which has happened), some called into the ministry and others simply encouraged.
- We have gained many new friends who have added to our lives and we do hope we have to theirs.
- We also have seen things happening in our world, including Africa; it's clear to see the Lord knew these events were coming.
GOD'S TIMING IS PERFECT...AND IT WILL HAPPEN!

Almost 30 years ago, our journey together began. It's 'how-we-met,' and it's how we courted by helping start an inner-city ministry in Indianapolis, IN that started with 3 and to this day: thousands have been impacted by God's Love & Hope!

FRIEND, WILL YOU WALK JUST ONE MORE MILE WITH ME?

Many years ago, almost 40 now I was asked by God to do something and be something I truly NEVER wanted to do. Yet, I was crying tears of joy when He asked! For in that moment, He became EVERYTHING to me: the One Who sacrificed His all for me, My source of all joy and peace. The One Who loved me more than anyone!
As this happened, His Heart started beating within me...and each beat of His Heart was:
PEOPLE!
From that moment on, MY LIFE HAS NEVER BEEN THE SAME! I was 12 years old. The journey was not what I thought it would add up to be...yet, the Lord did take me into the life of ministry. Mostly in the place as a Co-Pastor with my husband Brad.
Recently, in the past 10 months of our lives, God has spent us around having our family take a HUGE step from Pastoring in the United States to being Missionary Pastors... title is:
'Pastors to the Pastors (& Missionaries) in Mozambique.'
As with anything in life; we all are not meant to do this ALONE. First and foremost; we have Jesus by our side, remember the scripture:
Heb. 13:5 "...for He has said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you [assuredly not]!”
Yet, we are to be THERE for one another...always encouraging, affirming, and helping in anyway we possibly can!
Phil. 2:3-5 "Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. 4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,"
A speaker at a ministers meeting spoke on the difficulties missionaries face in the journey of simply raising support . The task itself is phenomenally HUGE! Wise missionary organizations, with years of experience and knowledge have 'SET' a budget for missionaries that secures them in the task God called them to do. Simply said...but truly not simple to do.
This speaker encouraged his fellow pastors to not walk the other way when they see a missionary coming towards them. To answer and return their phone calls and HEAR THEIR HEART!
Many missionaries don't want to ASK for HELP FOR FINANCIAL SUPPORT...prayer is easy to ask for...$ IS NOT! It steps on places that seem to be quite sensitive for many reasons.
The speaker shared his stories how when he was a missionary that he faced loneliness as he was pushing toward the MARK OF HIS CALLING. For us, and our friends who are missionaries all concur this is quite the fact.
Matthew 5:41 "And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him two."
A Roman mile is about 1600 yards, that deals with proportional fatigue, and hardship. This passage is defined as; “to press into service as a courier” for the royal post." It is: Going Beyond Obligation!
"By law, a Roman citizen or soldier could compel a subject from one of the conquered lands to carry his backpack, or load, for him for one mile, but one mile only. As Jesus was preaching His Sermon on the Mount, I have often wondered if He inserted the reference about the second mile when He saw an object lesson unfolding before Him and His hearers." Dr. O.S. Hawkins
"The first mile is required of us, ... it interrupts your schedule!"
Then we HIT that miracle mile that separates certain individuals from others!
"One cannot travel the second mile without influencing others. It only takes one second miler in a home to change the entire environment." Dr. O.S. Hawkins
This second mile is 'motivated by the love of Christ'
Remembering this; that Christ took the second mile.
Our motivation to serve our Lord is FROM HIM!
We are COMPELLED ..... TO GO the extra mile and carry the GOSPEL OF SALVATION & HOPE TO THE PEOPLE OF MOZAMBIQUE. We are honored to do this for God's Glory alone!
YET...we cannot do this alone. We need a friend, a brother and sister to come and walk with us not just one mile but that EXTRA MILE too! We were not meant to do this alone; God could whisk us there in an instant...remember Philip?
No, HE chose this method so many would catch the vision; and be burden for the souls in Africa. To see this as an opportunity to be a part of saving their lives from hopelessness to purpose.
When the wallet is released into the Hands of God; to give as He leads...wow; what He will do for all who are involved. From the giver to the receiver to those it multiplies and feeds!
So, I ask;
'FRIEND, WILL YOU WALK WITH ME ONE MORE MILE?' And send us to Africa by committing to some amount of monthly support?

HOW TO ADD TO YOUR ACCOUNT

As the Lord instructs, He asks us to pray for hearts that they would love Him. When we are 'IN-LOVE' - it bears fruits of how our lives are absorbed with thoughts of that person or thing. We begin thinking and then talking about them all the time. Then we want to be with them as often as possible, after that we want to do as much as we can for and with them.
When it comes to Jesus, and totally being 'IN-LOVE' with Him, and His Word, our heart will speak; LOUDLY! The Word of God says; "...out of the heart the mouth speaks..." (Luke 6:45)
It's the same way with the hand, it's speaks with the heart (as we walk in His Spirit); and gives to others as it comes from his heart and his heart only!

As we live for the Lord; coming to the place that this is more than just duty, because duty will only carry us so far. I.E.- it will only give us the care or the desire to go so far and then it drops off; but if our heart is for the Lord and desiring to finish and complete His PURPOSE (laid out in the Word of God) then that will go farther. By just doing our - duty, we will not have strength and ability to endure to the end. ![]()

The Apostle Paul was talking in Philippians 4:17 about adding to 'our-account' not here upon this earth, but to our 'heavenly-spiritual-account'.
"Not that I seek the gift itself, but I do seek the profit which increases to your [heavenly] account [the blessing which is accumulating for you]."
*Paul wasn't worried about people giving to his supply; he was more concerned about their account.
As they gave to Paul and the ministry of missions; they were adding to their account.
Daily we can give to our account as we serve others and care for others. This 'SUPPLY' helps the Kingdom go forward! What a major blessing this is; as we read on a couple verses down; verse 19:
"And my God will liberally supply (fill until full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
All to say; we can NEVER out give God! The more we give our lives to Him, to His Work- thus, His
purpose He has laid out for each of us. We are filling up our KINGDOM ACCOUNT.
One very important way is supporting the ministry of missions, both local and abroad.
Knowing that green paper we call money, can equip ministries with the essentials to ADVANCE THEM ...thus: ADVANCING THE KINGDOM!
